This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) outlines Quagga Tech Private Limited’s (“Zoop”, “Company”, “we”, or “us”) practices in relation to the storage, use, processing, and disclosure of personal data that you have chosen to share when you access our mobile application “Zoop wallet” (“App”) or personal data that we may have access to in relation to your use of the App’s offerings and features (the App and all offerings and services available through the App are collectively referred to as the “Services”).

We at Zoop, are committed to protecting your personal data and respecting your privacy and use your personal data to provide and improve the Service. By using the Service, You agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

It refers to third-party companies or individuals employed by the Company to facilitate the Service, to provide the Service on behalf of the Company, to perform services related to the Service or to assist the Company in analyzing how the Service is used.

  10. Usage Data refers to data collected automatically, either generated by the use of the Service or from the Service infrastructure itself (for example, the duration of a screen/page visit).

  11. End User means the individual accessing or using the Service, or the company, or other legal entity on behalf of which such individual is accessing or using the Service, as applicable. For the avoidance of doubt, references to “You” across this Policy are to an end user that uses the Services.

While using Our Service, We may ask You to provide Us with certain information that includes data which can directly or indirectly identify you. Personally identifiable information may include, but is not limited to:

  1. Identity and Profile Data, such as Email address, First name, and last name, Date of Birth, Gender, Marital Status, Aadhar Number, PAN details, Driving License Details, Phone number, Residential address, Pin Code.

  2. Marketing and Communications Data, such as your address, email address, information posted in service requests, offers, wants, feedback, comments, pictures and discussions in our blog and chat boxes, responses to user surveys and polls, your preferences in receiving marketing communications from us and our third parties, and your communication preferences

  3. Technical Data, which includes your IP address, browser type, internet service provider, details of operating system, access time, page views, device ID, device type, frequency of use of the App, website and mobile application activity, clicks, date and time stamps, location data, and other technology on the devices that you use to access the App.

  4. Transaction Data, such as details of the Services you have availed.

  5. Usage Data, which includes information about how you use the Services, your activity on the App, user taps and clicks, user interests, time spent on the App, details about user journey on the mobile application, and page views.

When You access the Service by or through a mobile device, We may collect certain information automatically, including, but not limited to, the type of mobile device You use, Your mobile device unique ID, the IP address of Your mobile device, Your mobile operating system, the type of mobile Internet browser You use, unique device identifiers and other diagnostic data.

We may collect information about how you use our mobile application to better understand your preferences, including your choices for uploading/importing/syncing documents from your device/gmail or any other apps, and any other actions you take while using the app.  

Please note that this information may be considered personal information under applicable privacy laws, and we will handle it in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

We may request access to certain permissions on your device, such as your camera, microphone, storage (including Device gallery and file library), in order to provide you with full functionality of our. By granting us access to these permissions, You authorize us to collect and use the information that you provide/we obtain through them in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

It is further stated that we will only request access to such permissions as are necessary for the full and proper functionality of our app. We will not access any information on your device that is not directly related to the functionality of our app.

We may also collect information that Your browser sends whenever You visit our Service or when You access the Service by or through a mobile device.

  • We also collect, use, and share aggregated data such as statistical or analytical data solely for internal operations. Aggregated data could be derived from your personal data but is not considered personal data under law as it does not directly or indirectly reveal your identity. For example, we may aggregate your usage data to calculate the percentage of users accessing a specific feature of the Services. However, if we combine or connect aggregated data with your personal data so that it can directly or indirectly identify you, we treat the combined data as personal data which will be used in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

  3. enter a promotion, user poll, or online surveys;

  5. report a problem with the App and/or our Services, give us feedback, or contact us.

b) Automatically Collected Information: Each time you visit the App or use the Services, we will automatically collect technical data about your equipment, browsing actions, and patterns. We collect this personal data by using cookies, web beacons, pixel tags, server logs, and other similar technologies. We may also receive such data about you if you visit other websites or apps that employ our cookies.

c) Data Collected through third parties: Data Collected through third parties: We will receive personal data about you from various third parties and public sources, including but not limited to our trusted third-party partners and other publicly available sources. Additionally, if you have authorised Gmail for auto-sourcing and auto-categorization based on the categories you have agreed to, we may use your approval to leverage Google’s read-only Gmail permission to sync PDF files received in your conversations to the Zoop Wallet app.

  1. Use of Your Personal Data

We collect, use, and transfer the personal data about you in accordance with the terms of this Policy to enable you to avail our Services.

We will only use your personal data when the law allows us to. Most commonly, we will use your personal data where we need to provide you with the Services or where we need to comply with a legal obligation. We use your personal data for the following purposes:

  1. to verify your identity to register you as a user, and create your user account with us on the App;

  2. to provide the Services to you;

  3. to monitor trends and personalize your experience;

  4. to improve the functionality of our Services based on the information and feedback we receive from you;

  5. to improve customer service to effectively respond to your Service requests and support needs;

  6. to send periodic notifications to manage our relationship with you including to notify you of changes to Services, send you information and updates pertaining to the Services you have availed, and to receive occasional company news and updates related to us or the Services;

  7. to market and advertise our Services to you;

  8. to administer and protect our business and the Services, including for troubleshooting, data analysis, system testing, and performing internal operations;

  9. to comply with legal obligations;

  10. to improve our business and delivery models;

  11. to perform our obligations that arise out of the arrangement we are about to enter or have entered with you;

  12. to enforce our Terms; and

  13. to respond to court orders, establish or exercise our legal rights, or defend ourselves against legal claims.

You agree and acknowledge that by using our Services and creating an account with us on the Platform, you authorize us to contact you via email, phone, or otherwise. You authorise our associated partners & affiliate to contact you via any medium that has been explicitly consented by you for any application/service purpose. This is to provide the Services to you and ensure that you are aware of all the features of the Services and for related purposes.

Gmail:
Please note that any data obtained from authenticated Google Account (Gmail & Google Drive) will be used by the Company solely for updating the User’s DocuWallet with the categorised documents (pdf attachments) against consented categories. We shall not use or transfer any data or information received from the integration of the user’s gmail addresses with the account on the Platform to third parties for any purpose other than as explicitly authorized by the User.

Digilocker:
We are an authorized partner of Digilocker. By Connecting digilocker with Zoop Wallet you authorise us to fetch your data into Wallet System. None of this data will be shared with any third party without an explicit consent in the integrated application process.

  1. Cookies

What are cookies:

Cookies are small files that a site or its service provider transfers to your device’s hard drive through your web browser (if you permit it to) that enables the sites or service providers’ systems to recognise your browser and capture and remember certain information to ensure consistent and efficient experience for visitors.

How We use cookies:

We use cookies to help us distinguish you from other users of the App, understand and save your preferences for future visits, keep track of advertisements and compile aggregate data about site traffic and site interaction(“first party cookies”) so that we can offer you a seamless user experience. We also use cookies to remember your preferences while uploading or importing a document on the mobile application. This enables us to understand how You use the mobile application and track any patterns that emerge. We may contact third-party service providers to assist us in better understanding our site visitors. These service providers are not permitted to use the information collected on our behalf except to help us conduct and improve our business

Additionally, you may encounter cookies or other similar devices on certain parts of the App that are placed by third parties(“third party cookies”). Third party cookies enable third party features or functionality to be provided on or through the mobile application (e.g. like advertising, interactive content and analytics). We do not control the use of cookies by third parties. If you send us personal correspondence, such as emails, or if other users or third parties send us correspondence about your activities or postings on the Platform, we may collect such information within a file specific to you.

  1. Data Minimization

We solely collect the data that is essential for the functionality of the application, including but not limited to email address, first name, last name, phone number, date of birth, physical address, and other relevant information. In case we need to collect any additional data, we will obtain the user’s explicit consent prior to such collection, ensuring that the collection of data is limited and complies with applicable data privacy and protection laws and regulations.

  1. Retention of Your Personal Data

The Company will retain Your Personal Data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. We will retain and use Your Personal Data to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations (for example, if we are required to retain your data to comply with applicable laws), resolve disputes, and enforce our legal agreements and policies. It is further stated that subsequent to the termination of our services we will not retain any of your Personal Data. The Company will keep wallet documents that have been uploaded, imported or synced from any source into wallet retained during active user account. Once the account is deleted, all data will be deleted as per our deletion policy. 

The Company will also retain Usage Data for internal analysis purposes. Usage Data is generally retained for a shorter period of time, except when this data is used to strengthen the security or to improve the functionality of Our Service, or We are legally obligated to retain this data for longer time periods.

  1. Transfer of Your Personal Data

Your information, including Personal Data, is processed at the Company’s operating offices and in any other places where the parties involved in the processing are located. It means that this information may be transferred to — and maintained on — computers located outside of Your state, province, country or other governmental jurisdiction where the data protection laws may differ from those from Your jurisdiction.

Your consent to this Privacy Policy followed by Your submission of such information represents Your agreement to that transfer.

The Company will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that Your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy and no transfer of Your Personal Data will take place to an organization or a country unless there are adequate controls in place including the security of Your data and other personal information.

  1. Your Rights in relation to Your Personal Data

The End User have the following rights with respect to the Personal Data provided:

  1. To access the personal data on the App;

  2. To opt out of receiving marketing communications at anytime;

  3. To have your personal data updated or corrected(it is to be noted that once the user has linked his/her Digilocker, the user is not allowed to change/update the date of birth);

  4. You may review the information and personal data that you have provided during your use of the App and choose to correct or modify such information if it is incorrect. You may do so by writing to us or our Grievance Officer at hi@zoop.one.

  5. You have the right to revoke our access to the device permissions requested by us at any time by changing the settings on your device. However, please note that revoking our access to certain permissions may limit the functionality of our app and your ability to use certain features.


  1. Disclosure of Your Personal Data

  • Business Transactions

You are aware that in the event we go through a business transition, such as a merger, acquisition by another organization, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, your personal data might be among the assets transferred.

  • Third Party Transactions

Zoop can share the User Data with the following parties and ensures that any/every such third party takes same or equal care of the Personal Data, Third Party means and includes:

  1. Zoop’s affiliates.

  2. External third parties such as: trusted third parties such as our associate partners(DigiLocker), and service providers that provide services for us or on our behalf. This includes hosting and operating our App, providing marketing assistance, conducting our business, transmitting content, and providing our Services to you; analytic service providers and advertising networks that conduct web analytics for us to help us improve the App, etc. These analytics providers may use cookies and other technologies to perform their services;

  3. Third parties upon your request or where you explicitly consent to such disclosure.

Everytime we share user data with any third party, we require all third parties to respect the security of your personal data and to treat it in accordance with the law and provide for. We do not allow our third-party service providers to use your personal data for their own purposes and only permit them to process your personal data for specified purposes and in accordance with our instructions.

  1. Law enforcement

Under certain circumstances, the Company may be required to disclose Your Personal Data if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by regulatory bodies, tribunals, any court of law or any other government body as required by laws or regulations.

  1. Security of Your Personal Data

To ensure the security of your documents, the app is designed to require a ‘share pin’ when you attempt to share your documents with others via Whatsapp, Email. This share pin is mandatory and is designed to prevent any intrusive elements, whether bot or human, from accessing and sharing your documents without your consent.

It is further stated that our app is also secured with opt-in app lock workflows, which provide an additional layer of security to prevent unauthorized access to your documents. You have the option to enable or disable these workflows at any time in the in-app settings.

By using our app, You consent to our collection and use of the information obtained through device permissions as described in this Privacy Policy, solely for the purpose of securing your documents and preventing unauthorized sharing.

We implement certain security measures including encryption and firewalls to protect your personal information from unauthorized access. However, you agree and acknowledge that the above-mentioned measures do not guarantee absolute protection to the personal information and by accessing the Services, you agree to assume all risks associated with disclosure of personal information arising due to breach of firewalls and secure server software.

Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password or OTP that enables you to access certain parts of the Services, you are responsible for keeping this password or OTP confidential. We ask you not to share the password or OTP with anyone.

We will comply with the requirements under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the SDPI rules, 2011 made thereunder in the event of a data or security risk.

You agree and acknowledge that we shall not be liable for:

  1. any information leaked due to computer virus, trojan and hacker attack;

  2. any information divulged on account of you sharing your password, OTP or details of your registered account with others; or

  3. any other such divulgence caused by any reason not directly/indirectly attributable to us.

  1. Deletion of Account

You have the right  to delete your Zoop Wallet account and all the information which is stored with it at any given time. You can do so by selecting “Delete Account” in the “Security” screen available from “Menu”.

The End User have the following rights with respect to the Personal Data provided:

  1. To access the personal data on the App;

  2. To opt out of receiving marketing communications at anytime;

  3. To have your personal data updated or corrected(it is to be noted that once the user has linked his/her Digilocker, the user is not allowed to change/update the date of birth);

  4. You may review the information and personal data that you have provided during your use of the App and choose to correct or modify such information if it is incorrect. You may do so by writing to us or our Grievance Officer at hi@zoop.one.

  5. You have the right to revoke our access to the device permissions requested by us at any time by changing the settings on your device. However, please note that revoking our access to certain permissions may limit the functionality of our app and your ability to use certain features.

  • Business Transactions

You are aware that in the event we go through a business transition, such as a merger, acquisition by another organization, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, your personal data might be among the assets transferred.

  • Third Party Transactions

Zoop can share the User Data with the following parties and ensures that any/every such third party takes same or equal care of the Personal Data, Third Party means and includes:

  1. Zoop’s affiliates.

  2. External third parties such as: trusted third parties such as our associate partners(DigiLocker), and service providers that provide services for us or on our behalf. This includes hosting and operating our App, providing marketing assistance, conducting our business, transmitting content, and providing our Services to you; analytic service providers and advertising networks that conduct web analytics for us to help us improve the App, etc. These analytics providers may use cookies and other technologies to perform their services;

  3. Third parties upon your request or where you explicitly consent to such disclosure.

Everytime we share user data with any third party, we require all third parties to respect the security of your personal data and to treat it in accordance with the law and provide for. We do not allow our third-party service providers to use your personal data for their own purposes and only permit them to process your personal data for specified purposes and in accordance with our instructions.

  1. Law enforcement

Under certain circumstances, the Company may be required to disclose Your Personal Data if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by regulatory bodies, tribunals, any court of law or any other government body as required by laws or regulations.

  1. Security of Your Personal Data

To ensure the security of your documents, the app is designed to require a ‘share pin’ when you attempt to share your documents with others via Whatsapp, Email. This share pin is mandatory and is designed to prevent any intrusive elements, whether bot or human, from accessing and sharing your documents without your consent.

It is further stated that our app is also secured with opt-in app lock workflows, which provide an additional layer of security to prevent unauthorized access to your documents. You have the option to enable or disable these workflows at any time in the in-app settings.

By using our app, You consent to our collection and use of the information obtained through device permissions as described in this Privacy Policy, solely for the purpose of securing your documents and preventing unauthorized sharing.

We implement certain security measures including encryption and firewalls to protect your personal information from unauthorized access. However, you agree and acknowledge that the above-mentioned measures do not guarantee absolute protection to the personal information and by accessing the Services, you agree to assume all risks associated with disclosure of personal information arising due to breach of firewalls and secure server software.

Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password or OTP that enables you to access certain parts of the Services, you are responsible for keeping this password or OTP confidential. We ask you not to share the password or OTP with anyone.

We will comply with the requirements under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the SDPI rules, 2011 made thereunder in the event of a data or security risk.

You agree and acknowledge that we shall not be liable for:

  1. any information leaked due to computer virus, trojan and hacker attack;

  2. any information divulged on account of you sharing your password, OTP or details of your registered account with others; or

  3. any other such divulgence caused by any reason not directly/indirectly attributable to us.

  1. Deletion of Account

You have the right  to delete your Zoop Wallet account and all the information which is stored with it at any given time. You can do so by selecting “Delete Account” in the “Security” screen available from “Menu”.

We keep our Policy under regular review and may amend this Policy from time to time, subject to the services rendered.

The terms of this Policy may change and if it does, these changes will be posted on this page and, where appropriate, notified to you by email. The new Policy may be displayed on-screen, and you shall be prompted to read and accept the updated policy if you choose to continue using our Services
